ZŠ a MŠ Mozaika is the most successful school in the Czech Republic in preparing pupils for the 2024 entrance exams.
The most successful ninth graders in Cermat tests in 2024 were pupils from Montessori ZŠ a MŠ Mozaika in Mnichovice, writes Deník.cz on 13 February 2025.
It is great news that children can develop their talents and enjoy school and at the same time they can achieve great results. The maximum number of points in mathematics and the Czech language was always 50. Data from 2024 shows that half of the pupils from Mozaika ZŠ achieved at least 91 points out of a possible 100 in Cermat tests.
Half of our ninth graders scored atleast 48 points in maths and 43 points in the Czech language. This makes Mozaika the most successful school in the Czech Republic in preparing pupilsfor entrance exams.
We are pleased that our students have been successful in the admission procedures for a long time. You can see their results over the years through the graphs.
We are aware that the ranking reflects the sum of the points, not the overall quality. However, for many, it is encouraging to know that children can enjoy school, develop in areas that interest them, and achieve great results.
"Their success is a reflection of their responsible preparation and attitude and for that they are to be congratulated. I would also like to thank everyone who contributes to the running of our school - teachers, parents and all of the staff," says Táňa Kadlecová, the school's headmistress.
We asked our alumni for recommendations for those who are currently preparing for the exams.
· Start studying early.
· Remember that the tests may be structured differently each year. Don't just rely on past tests.
· Learn how to write tests: Focus on improving your Cermat test writing skills. Improve your personal strategy.
· Take mock tests: Try writing admissions tests in a simulated environment to familiarize yourself with time pressure and the test format.
· After each test, review it and correct your mistakes. This will help you to see what you still need to work on.
· Consider a tutor: If you're struggling with a subject, consider a tutor. A one- on-one approach or a different perspective from another teacher will help you better handle the difficult parts.
· Think about relaxation: Limit your studying the week before the exam. Allow yourself plenty of sleep and relaxation so that you are in a relaxed frame of mind on the day of the test.
· Good food and drink: Have something sweet for breakfast and a snack before the test. This will give you energy and help you concentrate.
· The kind attitude towards children
· The unique Montessori concept
· Above-standard English and computer science
· Professional teachers
· Openness to parents
